HANK BALCH
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Hank Balch is the Founder & President of Beyond Clean. He began his career in instrument reprocessing as a frontline technician in 2009, and has served as an Instrument Database Specialist, Department Manager, and System Director for various SPD departments across the country. Hank is an award winning Sterile Processing leader (2016 Healthcare Purchasing News "CS/SPD Department of the Year"), twice nominated for IAHCSMM President, founder of two state-wide IAHCSMM chapters, conference speaker, and well-known industry writer, blogger, and social media connoisseur. He has written over 150 Sterile Processing articles, with his work being published in Becker's Hospital Review, Infection Control Today, Healthcare Purchasing News, Communique, Outpatient Surgery Magazine, AAMI BI&T Journal, SteriWorld, and other publications across the globe. His passion is seeing frontline Sterile Processing professionals equipped to #FightDirty, every instrument, every time.
JUSTIN POULIN
FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Justin Poulin is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Beyond Clean. He has over 20 years in the Medical/Surgical industry both as a Registered Nurse, Sales Executive and Podcast Host. He is an active supporter and participant in Regional AHRMM and IAHCSMM chapters and has presented educational programs at both the AORN and IAHCSMM annual national conferences. Justin is the host of several healthcare podcasts including the Beyond Clean Podcast which focuses on important topics, trends, and innovations in Sterile Processing. His other podcast projects include First Case (Operating Room), Power Supply (Purchasing & Supply Chain) and Transmission Control (Infection Control).
Lindsay Brown
VICE PRESIDENT SALES & MARKETING
Lindsay Brown is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Beyond Clean. She is a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and a Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (C.F.E.R.) through CBSPD. Lindsay has been an active part of the Sterile Processing industry as a speaker at medical facilities and educational seminars around the United States and Canada and has educated healthcare personnel on both fundamental and progressive industry topics.
Lindsay was a contributing writer for the Certified Endoscope Reprocessing Technician manual through IAHCSMM. She is a member of IAHCSMM and AORN and was named 2014 Educator of the Year by the Golden West Central Service & Healthcare Chapter and 2015 Vendor of the Year by the California Central Service Association.
Brett Norton
VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS
Brett Norton is a Colorado native with 18 years of measurable success building and managing transformational solutions across hospitality, distribution, retail, real estate, and healthcare sectors. Throughout his career, Brett has been instrumental in sustaining annual growth, increasing brand visibility, and working directly with hospitals to train and educate clinicians on industry standards for infection prevention protocols directly related to patient safety and safe surgical outcomes. As a business development leader, budget manager and skilled speaker with a stern focus on effective communication, B2B lead generation and implementation of devised strategies through targeted customer campaigns and new product line development, Brett has helped numerous customers quickly adapt to changing market conditions. With a long-standing family history in healthcare, Brett is also a passionate advocate for Sterile Processing. He welcomes any opportunity to help educate and train industry professionals and is a strong proponent of efficient teamwork between hospital departments and SPD.
Bobby Parker
Vice President of Clinical Solutions
Bobby Parker, MDiv, CRCST, CIS, CER, CHL is the Vice President of Clinical Solutions at Beyond Clean, helping us support frontline technicians and departments through creative education, content, and resources! Bobby has over 10 years experience in the frontlines of the Sterile Processing industry. He began his career as a Sterile Processing technician at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY, and went on to serve as Supervisor & Manager at various hospitals around the city. In 2016, as SPD Manager at Jewish Hospital, Bobby's department was named the HPN CS/SPD Department of the year.

Melanie Perry, bsn, rn, cnor
PERIOPERATIVE CLINICAL MANAGER
Melanie Perry is the Perioperative Clinical Manager for Beyond Clean and Host of the First Case Podcast for Operating Room Professionals. Melanie graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2002 with a BSN and has worked in Neonatal ICU, OB/GYN, Med-Surg, Pain Management, and the Operating Room. She has held positions like Circulator, Team Lead, Charge Nurse and OR Manager and believes that education is the why behind her passion for the Operating Room. Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children outside of work.
BOB MARRS
VICE PRESIDENT EMERITUS
Bob Marrs is the Vice President of Clinical Consulting at Beyond Clean. Previously Bob served as the Director of Consulting Services & Field Operations for 9 years with Aesculap and prior to that worked in the Perioperative setting for 21 years in various roles from Certified Surgical Technologist to CSD Technician, Case Cart Coordinator, Sterile Processing Manager and Director. Bob maintains certifications as a CRCST, CIS, CHL and is an Instructor for IAHCSMM. He served as the President of the Texas State Association of Central Service Professionals for 6 years and an IAHCSMM Executive Board member for two. He also served as the Co-Chair of the IAHCSMM membership committee and Orthopedic committee. He is a current member of the IAHCSMM Foundation Board. Bob holds a Bachelors Degree in Professional Communications from Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio. He travels throughout the US and the world speaking about various CSD and Infection Control issues. He is published in numerous healthcare periodicals and contributed to the IAHCSMM CRCST 7th edition and CHL Leadership Manual. Bob has a passion for excellence in Sterile Processing and believes that certification through education provides the foundation needed for superior patient care.
Peter Nichol, MD
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Peter Nichol, MD is the Chief Medical Officer at Beyond Clean, minimally invasive pediatric surgeon, healthcare leader, innovator and entrepreneur. As surgical director of OR services at University of Wisconsin Health, Peter has overseen the rebuilding of sterile processing, optimization of operating room efficiencies, and change management of OR culture and environment at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Peter is the Founder of Cars Curing Kids Foundation and co-Founder of Kids Health Vista, not-for profit 501c3s dedicated to funding initiatives that will improve the health of kids in the state of Wisconsin within one to three years.
Lisa (Wakeman) McKown

MANAGER OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Lisa McKown is the Manager of Research and Development for Beyond Clean. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Integrative Leadership and an MBA from Anderson University. Lisa is a doctoral student with a focus in public health through IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN. She also holds a certification as a Meyers Briggs Practitioner, specializing in interpersonal communication. Lisa contributes as an SME volunteer for standards development and other industry related projects that promote the Sterile Processing profession; including writing workshops focused on creating and revising questions for the IAHCSMM certification exams. As a healthcare professional that is driven to influence positive change for patient safety initiatives, Lisa is a catalyst for the advancement of infection prevention within Sterile Processing. Her passion is education and she is energized when she can utilize her experience to develop people.
Chelsea Wolner BA, CRCST, CER
MARKETING ASSOCIATE
Chelsea Wolner BA, CRCST, CER, is the Marketing Associate for Beyond Clean. Chelsea is also a Sterile Processing Technician at the Ambulatory Surgery Center at MHealth Fairview in Minneapolis, MN. She has more than 4 years of experience working extensively in case cart management. She is a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and a Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through IAHCSMM. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Management with a focus in Marketing from The College of Saint Scholastica. Chelsea's desire is to connect fellow frontline professionals with industry knowledge with the goal of providing exceptional patient care experiences.
Aaron Ankrum
PRODUCER
Aaron Ankrum is a Producer of Beyond Clean Media. Aaron has spent years recording and touring, as well as producing albums for performers ranging from young independent bands to Grammy nominated artists. The DIY nature of being an independent artist and producer, from project management to conceptualizing and producing music videos, made adding of film work to his studio a natural transition. He serves as a director and creative director alongside his brother Christian, with whom he spent many years performing both in the studio and on the road- experiences that dovetailed nicely into their chemistry in film production.
cHRISTIAN Ankrum
PRODUCER
Christian Ankrum is a Producer of Beyond Clean Media. After spending most of his life as a professional Bassist, Christian has spent the last five years widening his expertise. With a background in finance, varying situations have pushed him into different small business ventures from real estate to an African bussing company. After spending time in the audio world, there was a natural move to Video production, creating E-learning content as well as helping others tell a story.
